Catarina Maria Lorraine Piccinato ( Catarina Maria Lorraine Lauren Rocha Piccinato) is a Renowned Brazilian Opera Singer born in the Amazon, whose extraordinary talent and dedication to the lvrical arts have established her as a prominent figure in the contemporary operatic scene. In 2012, Catarina moved to Vienna, Austria, one of the world's most important opera centers, where she had the opportunity to study under the guidance of renowned teachers like Grace Bumbry whose mentorship profoundly influenced her artistic development. In Vienna she further her studies in Opera and completed her formal education in 2019 at Vienna Conservatory.

During her time in Vienna, Catarina Maria Lorraine not only honed her vocal skills but also immersed herself deeply in the operatic repertoire. Catarina made her debut in several demanding roles, showcasing her vocal versatility and dramatic presence. Among her most memorable performances is the role of Violetta Valery in "La Traviata," where her emotive interpretation and impeccable technique captivated both audiences and critics alike. Additionally, Catarina has excelled as Lucrezia Borgia, Tosca, and Salome, bringing emotional depth and a commanding stage presence to each character.

Her versatility as a soprano is further evidenced in roles such as Maria Stuarda, Abigaille, and Médée, where she has pushed the boundaries of her voice and explored the complexity of these characters. Catarina began her career as a coloratura soprano, and her performance as the Queen of the Night in Mozart's

"The Magic Flute" is often regarded as a hallmark of her journey, showcasing her mastery of high notes and dramatic expressiveness. These performances earned her critical acclaim and solidified her reputation as a leading interpreter of bel canto repertoire. Currently in London, Catarina is dedicated to expanding her repertoire and refining her skills under the guidance of renowned vocal coaches. In addition to her vocal training, she is undertaking an advanced course in Shakespearean Drama in Londonfurther enhancing her dramatic abilities as a bel canto actress. Catarina’s focus remains on the intense emotional depth and complexity of Verdi and Puccini’s heroines, through which she continues to captivate audiences with her powerful voice and expressive artistry.
